President Bola Tinubu was brutally honest yesterday, warning Nigerians that there are no quick fixes to the country’s festering problems and urging them to suffer with the country in light of the pains caused by the removal of petroleum subsidies.
He did, however, promise that after today’s ordeal, tomorrow will be better.
He made the remarks in Abuja at the launch of Brutally Frank, a 688-page autobiography written by former Federal Commissioner for Information and South-South Leader, Chief Edwin Clark.
President Tinubu stated that the answer to Nigeria’s crisis cannot be as simple as instant coffee, comparing the country’s current situation to the agony of childbirth, but that joy will follow.
He expressed hope that the Federal Government’s palliatives will help to alleviate the hardship and trauma.
