The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) is set to release a comprehensive list of institutions that have submitted complete student data. Nasir Ayitogo, Head of Media and Public Relations for NELFUND, announced that the list will be available on the NELFUND Student Verification System (SVS) portal starting June 24, 2024.
Ayitogo emphasized that publishing the list of federal and state-owned institutions will enhance transparency and encourage both undergraduate applicants and tertiary institutions to participate in the scheme. He praised many federal institutions for completing the data submission process and noted that the data upload is still ongoing for state-owned institutions.
He highlighted the importance of institutions providing accurate and complete information to facilitate seamless applicant verification. Applicants must ensure their details are correctly entered into the portal, as incomplete or inaccurate data could invalidate the application process.
Ayitogo also stressed the necessity of matching JAMB numbers, matriculation numbers, admission numbers, full names, and dates of birth to support the evaluation process. He urged applicants to double-check their data, especially their email addresses, to avoid errors during the application.
He expressed satisfaction with the cooperation NELFUND has received from tertiary institutions nationwide, both at the state and federal levels.
