Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington revealed on Monday that he narrowly escaped an alleged assassination attempt. He shared the shocking incident with his followers on X, saying it occurred early Monday morning while he was driving back from a club in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The claim follows his recent release from detention at Kuje prison, where he had been held on undisclosed charges. In a video posted on his Instagram, Darlington showed his car, which had been shot at multiple times by unknown gunmen, leaving significant damage and visible bullet holes on the rear of the vehicle.

He captioned the post, "Long face sent killers my way, and I have not even posted anything. Bro, is this necessary? You tried to take my life. Really?" visibly shaken. Darlington added, "I never said anything, yet he's sending killers. What is he scared of! That means I’m right."
