The uproar began last week when a leaked audio surfaced online, featuring Sophia accusing Burna Boy of engaging in an affair with her and reneging on a promise to gift her a Lamborghini. The revelation sent shockwaves across Nigerian social media, sparking heated debates.

Speed Darlington, who once claimed Burna Boy’s Grammy win was tied to an alleged illicit relationship with disgraced American music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, has now doubled down with a new theory. According to the outspoken rapper, Burna Boy orchestrated the entire scandal with Sophia to dispel longstanding rumors questioning his sexual orientation.

In a video posted to his Instagram, Darlington didn’t hold back, saying, “You’re out here running around, trying so hard to convince everyone you’re not gay. You and that girl cooked up this plan together. I know it might tarnish your image, but I’ll toss you a little cash to act like a hookup girl—so people will think I’m into women.
