Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved an increment in the salaries of workers in the state civil service.
Governor Sanwo-Olu made this known while addressing the workers at the state secretariat in Alausa, Ikeja.
The governor said his administration is proactive to the yearnings of civil servants amid the high rate inflation in the country which has affected the purchasing power of workers.
He said Lagos state will not wait for the federal government before it improves the well-being of workers.
Governor SANWO-OLU said he also approved other benefits for the state’s civil servants.

“At our cabinet meeting, I instructed the head of service office and the ministry of staff, training, and pensions to start work on how we are going to increase the entire salary of our public servants.”
The announcement is coming less than a few months before the 2023 general election.
