Liverpool's star forward Mohamed Salah has inked a fresh contract, ensuring his presence at Anfield extends well past the 2024-25 season. The Egyptian striker, who arrived from AS Roma in 2017, continues to dazzle, notching an impressive 32 goals in 45 matches this season. Of those, 27 have come in the Premier League, cementing his status as the league’s leading scorer, alongside 22 assists.
At 32, Salah shared his enthusiasm for staying with the Reds. “I’m thrilled to keep going here. We’ve got a fantastic squad now, and we’ve had one before too. I signed because I believe we can lift more silverware and I can keep loving my football. These have been the best years of my career—eight so far, and hopefully a couple more to come,” he told Liverpoolfc.com.
This deal is a major coup for manager Arne Slot, who will lean on Salah’s brilliance as Liverpool chase top honors. Widely seen as one of the club’s all-time greats, Salah sits third on Liverpool’s scoring charts with 243 goals in 394 games. His trophy cabinet boasts seven major titles, including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, and two League Cups.
Salah’s individual honors are equally stellar, with three Premier League Golden Boots, two PFA Players’ Player of the Year awards, and two FWA Footballer of the Year titles to his name.
Addressing the fans, Salah said, “I’m so grateful to you all and so happy to stay. I signed because I know we can achieve big things together. Keep backing us, and we’ll give everything to bring home more trophies.”
