The Rivers State House of Assembly has formally issued a notice of alleged misconduct to Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his Deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu. The lawmakers assert that this step aligns with the provisions of the Nigerian Constitution. The notice states: “Pursuant to Section 188 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) and other relevant laws, we, the undersigned members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, hereby present to you a Notice of Gross Misconduct by the Deputy Governor of Rivers State in the execution of her official duties.”
