According to the official certificate of live birth, Rihanna and her partner A$AP Rocky have named their first child RZA Athelston Mayers.

The name is believed to pay homage to the talented producer and rapper RZA from the iconic American hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan, formed in 1992.

The baby's middle name, Athelston, is shared with his father and holds the meaning of "noble stone" or "noble protection" in Old English.

While Rihanna had previously expressed her reluctance to publicly share her baby's name and photos, she has delighted her followers by posting some glimpses of her little one on Instagram. The Grammy-winning artist gave birth to her baby boy on May 13, 2022.

She told The Washington Post, "We just didn’t get around to revealing his name yet. We’ve just been living. But I guess there’s a certain freedom that comes with, kind of, just getting it out there. If I’m going to leave my baby, I’m going to leave my baby for something special."

Sources reveal that Rihanna plans to introduce her son to her family in her home country, Barbados, showcasing her pride in her heritage.
