The freshly designed Naira notes first appeared online on Wednesday, ahead of the unveiling planned by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.

Inspiration FM had stated that the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd. ), will present the new notes at the Villa on Wednesday.

The freshly designed naira notes include N1,000, N500, and N200 notes.

The governor said that the top bank will not postpone the January 31, 2023 deadline for all old currencies to be deposited with commercial banks.

The official photographer of the president, Bayo Omoboriowo, posted the picture of the redesigned notes on his social media handles.
