Queen Elizabeth II left Buckingham Palace for the final time on Wednesday, as her coffin made its trip to Westminster Hall, where she will lie in state.

The queen's coffin, draped in the royal banner and capped with the Imperial State Crown, was carried out of the front gates of her London palace at 2.22 p.m. atop a horse-drawn gun carriage.

Queen Elizabeth, the Monarch of the United Kingdom, died on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at the age of 96.

Condolences and eulogies have poured in from all around the world in response to the news of the death.
