Renowned Nigerian entertainer and socio-political activist, Charles Oputa, widely known as Charly Boy, has entered the fray surrounding the controversy surrounding the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) score of Anambra schoolgirl, Mmesoma Ejikeme.

According to reports, Mmesoma initially asserted that she achieved a remarkable score of 362, the highest in the 2023 UTME examination. However, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) subsequently accused her of fabricating her result.

In a viral video on Monday, Mmesoma expressed astonishment that the result she obtained from the JAMB portal was labeled as counterfeit without any proper investigation by the examination board. She vehemently refuted the accusation, emphasizing her inability to manipulate her own result.

Addressing the issue on Monday night, Charly Boy took to his Twitter handle and expressed doubt regarding JAMB's claim. He urged the board to provide Mmesoma's examination papers to an external entity for reassessment.

He wrote, “JAMB must produce her paper for an external body to remark. I don’t trust the mark they claim they awarded her right now.

“JAMB has ended up making the young girl popular and the girl on the other hand exposed JAMB corruption & ineptitude just like INEC.”
