President MUHAMMADU BUHARI will today proceed to South Africa on a three-day State Visit.
The visit, at the instance of President CYRIL RAMAPHOSA, will discuss the welfare of Nigerians and find common grounds for building harmonious relations between their citizens.
It comes against the background of recent xenophobic attacks, the evacuation of hundreds of Nigerians and the exchange of visits by Special Envoys of Presidents BUHARI and RAMAPHOSA.
Meanwhile, President MUHAMMADU BUHARI is expected to present the 2020 Appropriation Bill to the National Assembly next week.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, House of Representatives, UMAR EL-YAKUB, confirmed this in Abuja.
Senator AHMED LAWAN, the Senate President, and FEMI GBAJABIAMILA, Speaker of the House of Representatives, had both expressed confidence that the Presidency would submit the 2020 budget in September, thereby allowing both chambers of the legislature to have enough time to scrutinize and approve it before December.
