The Presidency claims only ten students were abducted from the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State.
This was revealed in an interview by the Senior Special Assistant to President MUHAMMADU BUHARI on Media and Publicity, GARBA SHEHU.
This is in contrast to the report by Katsina State Governor, AMINU MASARI who said 333 students are still uncounted for after bandits raided the school on Friday night.
However, SHEHU said troops have surrounded the gunmen that kidnapped the students.
Speaking when a federal government delegation visited Katsina state, Minister of Defence, BASHIR SALIHU-MAGASHI also assured that the students were returning back to the school.
