President Muhammadu Buhari has endorsed February 2022 as new date for the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention.
The Chairman of Progressive Governors’ Forum, Atiku Bagudu, confirmed this development to State House correspondents at the end of a closed door meeting with President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday.
The Chairman of APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Mai Mala Buni, and the Jigawa State Governor, Badaru Abubakar, were also at the meeting.
Bagudu, who was not specific on the exact date for the convention in February, said the convention was shifted because four states were yet to complete their congresses.
He said the decision of the Sunday night meeting was also conveyed to President Buhari
The governors were however silent on the issue of zoning arrangements for party offices at the national level.
