A well-known crossdresser, popularly referred to as 'Abuja Area Mama,' was found dead in the Banex, Wuse II area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The body was discovered lying motionless along the Katampe-Mabushi Expressway on Thursday morning, with the crossdresser's full identity yet to be confirmed.

Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, confirmed the discovery in a statement. She noted that the Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh, has ordered a thorough and discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

According to Adeh, police officers responded to a distress call from the area and promptly transported the individual to Maitama District Hospital, where medical staff confirmed the person’s death. Further updates on the case will be provided as the investigation progresses.
