Police operatives fired teargas at Nigerian teenagers gathered near the Lekki toll gate to commemorate the second anniversary of the #EndSARS protest.
The memorial demonstration was held in memory of the victims of the shooting that occurred at the Lekki toll gate on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
On Thursday, October 20, 2022, the teenagers will carry imitation coffins to remember the movement.
However, police officers stationed at the toll gate used tear gas canisters to disperse the teens.
Popular comedian Debo Adebayo, also known as Mr Macaroni; and musician Folarin Falana, better known as Falz joined the procession.
Macaroni had on Wednesday announced on Twitter that there would be a walk in honour of #EndSARS victims.
