Nigerian musician Darlington Okoye, also known as Speed Darlington, has been arrested again by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.
The arrest took place while Speed Darlington was performing at a show shortly after returning to Nigeria earlier in the week. His legal representative, human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju, confirmed the incident on his official X (formerly Twitter) page, stating that the singer was detained during his performance.
The exact reason for the arrest remains unclear as of this report. However, Speed Darlington had previously been arrested for allegedly cyberstalking fellow musician Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy. This prior incident led to his detention in Abuja after being transferred from Lagos, though he was later granted bail.
Details surrounding the latest arrest are still emerging.
