35 kids who were being "used as sex slaves" in a motel in Nkpor, in the state's Idemili local government area, have been freed by the Anambra police command.
The youngsters were saved during a raid at the Gally Gally hotel in Nkpor, close to Onitsha in Anambra state, according to Tochukwu Ikenga, spokesman for the Anambra Police Command, who made the announcement.
He said that the 14 to 17-year-olds were used for prostitution and the production of children, noting that four of the females who were saved are presently pregnant and that three suspects have been detained and are the subject of an ongoing investigation.
Three of the suspects, including the hotel's assistant manager, were detained, according to the police spokesperson, and three pump action rifles, seven ammunition, and 877,500 naira in cash were also found.
