Three students of Dowen College located in Lekk have been arrested by the Lagos state police command in connection to the death of Sylvester Oromoni jnr.
The state commissioner of police, Hakeem Odumosu confirmed that three out of the five students are already in custody.
Before his death, Oromoni had named five students who he claimed had jointly attacked him in his dormitory room, inflicting on him multiple internal injuries.
The CP Pdumosu added that the suspects are operatives of the police in their probe.
The demise of the 12-year-old boy has put Dowen College in the eye of the storm as Nigerians have called for the school to be punished for allowing such a tragic incident to occur under its premises.
The student’s distraught father had earlier told of how his child was beaten and fed a liquid chemical.
