Former Tottenham Hotspur manager MAURICIO POCHETTINO has won the first trophy of his managerial career after Paris St-Germain beat Marseille 2-1 to win the French Super Cup in Lens.

MAURO ICARDI opened the scoring for the Parisiens after tapping in from close range and also won a penalty which NEYMAR scored for the second, while Marseille’s consolation goal was scored by DMITRI PAYET via a clever flick.

POCHETTINO who failed to win anything  in almost four years at Espanyol, 16 months at Southampton and five and a half years with Spurs haas now broken his trophy dock in his third game in charge of PSG after being appointed earlier this month.
