Veteran Nollywood actor, Patrick Doyle, has criticized singer Davido for his choice of outfit during a visit to the palace of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III. Davido had performed at the 'Warri Again' concert in Delta State over the weekend, marking his return after a legal dispute with former NFF president Amaju Pinnick. Pinnick had previously sued Davido for N2.3 billion over a breach of contract for failing to perform at the 2023 edition of the event, but it appears the matter has now been quietly resolved.

Before his performance, Davido, along with Pinnick, singer Phyno, comedian AY Makun, and socialite Cubana Chief Priest, paid a courtesy visit to the monarch. However, photos from the visit sparked criticism from Doyle, a Delta native, who deemed Davido's attire "inappropriate" for a royal setting.
