Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has been declared the winner of the direct governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress held on June 22 in Edo State.

Chairman of the Primary Election Committee and Imo state Governor, Hope Uzodinma declared Ize-Iyamu winner after results were collated in the 18 local government areas of the state.

Ize-Iyamu won by a large margin, scoring 27,838 votes and will now await the result of the PDP primary on June 25, to know his main rival in the September 19 governorship election in the state.
