Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, has expressed its condolences to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu over the passing of his wife, Dr. Ifeoma Uzor Kalu.

The former Abia State Governor announced her death in a statement, stating that she passed away in the United States of America at the age of 61.

In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Alex Ogbonnia, Ohanaeze Ndigbo mourned her passing and described her as a kind-hearted, disciplined, diligent, brilliant, wholesome and virtuous woman of substance.

Dr. Ifeoma was also a physician whose skills and expertise found full expression in the United States of America.

The statement expressed pain that death struck at a time when Dr. Ifeoma should have enjoyed the rewards of her services to humanity. It also noted that she would be forever missed for her beauty, charm, warmth, care, passion, and the invaluable services she rendered to humanity while alive.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo also extended its condolences to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, the children, and the extended family, sharing the moment of grief with them.

The organization prayed that the soul of Dr. Ifeoma Uzor Kalu would rest in the bosom of the Almighty.
