Nigerian singer Orezi recently admitted to promising a house to a woman he was romantically involved with, only to later back out of the commitment. The revelation came during an interview with Echo Room, where he weighed in on the ongoing Lamborghini controversy involving Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy and socialite Sophia Egbueje.

Orezi argued that it’s acceptable for men to break promises to women, pointing out that women, too, often fail to keep their vows of fidelity. “I’m not one of those Lamborghini guys,” he said. “I’ve never promised a lady anything close to N300 million—am I out of my mind? I did once promise a lady a house, but I didn’t follow through. Why would I buy her a house? For what? Women promise to stay faithful to one partner and then don’t. So, let both sides keep making promises—it’s a dog-eat-dog world [laughs].”
