FC Vlasim midfielder Zdenek Folprecht reportedly encouraged Nigerian striker Peter Olayinka to abandon Czech giants Slavia Prague for Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce.
The Nigeria international, who can play as a winger and striker, has been outstanding in the Czech topflight this season, notching 11 goals and four assists from 23 games in all competitions in the current campaign.
The Super Eagles striker has tallied 44 goals and 23 assists in 170 games since he joined Prague in 2018, earning three league and two Cup crowns.
Following his great performance, Olayinka has been strongly linked with a move away from Prague in the previous two seasons, with his probable destination the Turkish Super Lig.
Folprecht has now pushed him to make a significant move away from Prague.
Speaking on Football Focus Podcast, Folprecht stated if there was a suitable offer, Slavia saw no reason to prohibit Olayinka from joining Fenerbahce.
“If I could communicate with him, I would advise him to leave and move on,” Folprecht told Fotospor.
“Fenerbahce has a bigger name in the world than Slavia, they play with players around the world. Leaders in the league, there is a great atmosphere in the stands. Slavia has stadiums that are twice the size of the stadium, probably more money. The prestige of the club is higher than in Slavia.
His contract terminates at the conclusion of the season, and there are no constructive negotiations regarding a new deal. The Nigerian attacker will be free to chat to other teams in January.
Fenerbahce are top of the Turkish Super Lig with 29 points after 13 games and the addition of Olayinka might further strengthen their chances of winning the league championship.
