Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State announced on Wednesday the immediate dissolution of the boards of all ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) in the state.

The decision was communicated in a statement released by the governor's Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, in Benin. The statement further revealed that all permanent secretaries appointed from outside the public and civil service have also been relieved of their duties.

The affected appointees have been instructed to hand over all government property in their possession to the most senior public officers within their respective MDAs.
