A tragic accident along the Ikorodu–Sagamu Road in Ogun State has claimed the lives of at least four well-known gospel ministers: Evangelist Ayodeji David, widely recognized as Kekere Jesu, Evangelist Iyanu Joseph, Opeyemi Adesina, and Monjolajesu Oluwapamilerin. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the devastating incident through a statement released by Florence Okupe, the Public Information Officer for the Ogun State Command.
The ministers were reportedly traveling to a ministry engagement when the crash occurred. According to the FRSC, their vehicle was involved in a high-impact collision with another vehicle, resulting in the immediate deaths of all four occupants. The Nation Newspaper reported that the accident involved multiple vehicles and claimed over 24 lives in total. Initial findings from the FRSC suggest that excessive speed and reduced visibility were key factors in the deadly collision.
In the aftermath, The Nation noted that Kekere Jesu and his senior brother’s wife have already been buried, while the body of his personal assistant was transported to Ado-Ekiti for burial. His fiancée’s remains were handed over to her family for interment.
