Following a 2-0 home defeat to Abia Warriors in their last outing, Heartland were keen to prevent another loss. Amuneke believes the draw accurately reflected the match's competitiveness.

"It was a challenging match for both sides, given their standings," Amuneke remarked. "Naturally, both teams aimed to claim all three points. We created some opportunities but couldn’t capitalize on them. They had their moments too, but failed to score. All in all, it’s not a terrible outcome for us, though we’d have preferred the full haul of points."
