According to assistant coach Tar Akombo, the draw with Shooting Stars might be the game-changing event for Lobi Stars this season.
On Wednesday night, the Shooting Stars held the Pride of Benue to a 2-2 draw at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan.
The Makurdi club has 23 points from 25 games, which puts them in last place on the standings.
According to Akombo, the team has to build on their strong showing against Gbenga Ogunbote’s club.
“I’m pleased with the outcome. I believed that we would win three points. Unfortunately, we got a draw. We appreciate it. He informed the club’s reporters, “I think this outcome will be a turning point for us.”
Next Wednesday, the Lobi Stars will play the Niger Tornadoes in the North Central derby.
