Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh has officially become a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), as revealed through the APC's official X account.

Tonto Dikeh had previously ventured into politics as the deputy governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress during the 2023 general elections in Rivers State. Her formal induction into the APC took place at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Monday.

During this event, she was introduced to the party by Dr. Mary Alile, the party's national women leader, and Hon. Duro Meseko, the deputy national publicity secretary.

The statement announcing her affiliation with the APC reads: "Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh joins APC”.

Tonto Dikeh, who previously ran as the Rivers State 2023 deputy governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress, was unveiled at the Party's HQ by the National Women Leader, Dr Mary Alile, and Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Duro Meseko."
