February 8, 2024 Nigerians Begin Fresh Protests in Suleja Near Federal Capital, Abuja Over Hardship Inflicted by Tinubu Government

Niger state where a fresh round of protests was stagedĀ  yesterday in Suleja, which is only a few kilometres away to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The angry Nigerians stormed the streets, calling on the President Bola Tinubu-led government to end the hardship and unbearable inflation they were suffering.

This is coming two days after a similar protest in Minna the state capital and Kano state.

The demonstrators wielded placards with inscriptions such as ā€œTinubu, Do Something Now!ā€; ā€œLeadership Is All About Improving Livesā€; ā€œNigerians Are Sufferingā€; ā€œStop The Hardship Nowā€, among others.

Moreover, the Niger State Police Command says it has arrested three women, 30-year-old woman, Aisha Jibrin, 57-year-old Fatima Aliyu, 43-year-old Fatima Isyaku and 22 others for their participation in the Monday protest in Minna.
