A Nigerian man named Tembu Ebere, in his bid to set a Guinness World Record for crying continuously for 100 hours, suffered severe health consequences and temporary blindness.

In an interview with the BBC, Ebere disclosed that he experienced intense headaches, puffy eyes, and a swollen face due to the relentless crying, which eventually led to a distressing 45-minute period of temporary blindness.

Determined to persevere through the challenge, he decided to adjust his strategy and reduce the intensity of his wailing.

Ebere's intention to embark on a week-long cry-a-thon had gone viral after he shared his aspirations on social media, accompanied by a flyer.

This incident comes shortly after another Nigerian, Joyce Ijeoma, collapsed during her attempt at a 72-hour longest body massage record in the Lekki area of the State.
