Nigeria has hit the 7,000 marks of Coronavirus following the announcement of 339 new cases by the NCDC.

This brings the total infections in the country to 7,016.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, in a tweet via its official handle, confirmed the new figures last night.

According to the NCDC, Lagos the epic centre recorded139 new cases, Kano and Oyo had 28 new cases, Edo 25, and Katsina 22.

Other states with new cases include Kaduna with 18, Jigawa with 14, Yobe and Plateau with 13 cases each, the FCT with 11, 8 in Gombe, 5 in Ogun, 4 in Bauchi and Nasarawa, 3 in Delta, 2 in Ondo, and one each in Rivers and Adamawa.

A Virologist, Dr. AKYALA ISHAKU wants the country to do more in correcting erroneous impressions on Coronavirus.

At the moment, the number of successfully treated cases in the country has risen to 1,907 with 211 fatalities from the virus.
