A total of 284 new cases of COVID-19 has been confirmed in Nigeria.

With this announcement, the country’s total active cases is now 6,677 out of which 1,840 have been discharged with 200 have lost their lives.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), via its Twitter handle, 199 of the cases were recorded in Lagos State, 26 in Rivers State, 19 in Oyo State, eight each in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Borno State and seven in Plateau State.

Six cases were recorded in Jigawa State, five in Kano State, two in Abia State and one in Ekiti, Delta, Kwara and Taraba states.
