Popular media personality Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, better known as Nedu Wazobia, has stated that he has no regrets about inviting comedian DeeOne to his podcast, The Honest Bunch.
Nedu’s remarks come amid ongoing controversy following his departure from the podcast. The issue began when DeeOne, during an episode of the show, accused social media activist VeryDarkMan of being gay. In response, VeryDarkMan fired back, alleging that Nedu used the podcast to exploit aspiring entertainers in exchange for features. He also threatened to expose names of women Nedu had allegedly been involved with in the industry.
The controversy surrounding the interview eventually led to Nedu’s exit from The Honest Bunch. Meanwhile, in a separate interview on TVC’s Breakfast Show, DeeOne claimed he had intentionally “set a trap” for VeryDarkMan using Nedu.
Breaking his silence after stepping away from the show, Nedu addressed the situation during a press briefing in Lagos on Thursday. He firmly stated that he stands by his decision to feature DeeOne on the podcast.
“I don’t regret bringing DeeOne to The Honest Bunch,” Nedu said. “Everyone is entitled to their opinion. The show has helped many people.”
