A total of 649 new cases of COVID-19 has been confirmed in Nigeria bringing the number to 22,020.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said 250 of the cases were recorded in Lagos State, 100 in Oyo State, 40 each in Plateau and Delta states, 28 in Abia State, 27 in Kaduna State, 22 in Ogun State, 20 in Edo State, 18 in Akwa Ibom State and 17 in Kwara State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Enugu state recorded 14 new cases, 13 each in Niger and Adamawa states, seven in Bayelsa State, six each in Osun and Bauchi states, four in Anambra State, three in Gombe State, two in Sokoto State and one in Imo and Kano states respectively.
