The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed a total of 315 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, bringing the total Coronavirus infections in the country to 12,801.

The centre said 128 of the cases were recorded in Lagos State, 34 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), 32 in Rivers State, 28 in Edo State, 22 in Oyo State, 20 in Kaduna State and 13 in Gombe State.

Eight cases were recorded in Ogun State, seven each in Delta and Kwara states, five each in Plateau and Kano states, four in Bauchi State and two in Katsina State.

Of the number of positive cases in Nigeria so far, 4040 persons have fully recovered and have been discharged while 361 persons have died.
