England’s interim manager, Lee Carsley, has provided an update on Bukayo Saka’s injury. Saka picked up the injury during England's 2-1 UEFA Nations League loss to Greece on Thursday. The Arsenal forward was forced to leave the pitch at Wembley Stadium shortly after England conceded the opening goal.
After receiving treatment from the medical team, Saka was substituted and replaced by Chelsea’s Noni Madueke. Addressing the situation, Carsley stated, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano: “He’s being assessed. You could see in the build-up to the first goal that he felt something in his leg.”
