Mudashiru Obasa, previously removed from his position, has been reappointed as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly. His reinstatement came after Mojisola Meranda stepped down from the role during Monday’s plenary session.
Lawmaker Noheem Adams, representing Eti-Osa I, put forward Obasa’s nomination. In his acceptance speech, Obasa expressed gratitude to the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), his fellow lawmakers, and his deputy, Ms. Meranda, for their unwavering support.
Following the proceedings, the House adjourned its session with no set date for resumption.
