March 23, 2025 Mr Macaroni Rejects Donations Over N500m Debt Claim

Popular skit maker and activist Mr Macaroni has shut down talk of needing financial help after dropping the bombshell about his N500m debt. Speaking with Saturday Beats, he said he only shared his story to teach others, not to ask for handouts. “I’m not taking any help or donations. I told people about it mainly so they could learn from my slip-ups,” he explained.

Recently, Mr Macaroni stunned fans by opening up about his money troubles, sparking a wave of support from friends and followers. In an emotional social media post, he revealed he’s been drowning in over half a billion naira of debt after getting scammed and sinking cash into a bad investment between 2021 and 2022. He admitted that being too generous and careless with money didn’t help, and a betrayal by a close friend hit him hard. Still, with faith and loved ones by his side, he fought through the mess.

Fellow activists and celebs jumped in with encouragement. Rinu Oduala said, “Sorry you went through this. I’ve seen your kindness with money firsthand—you still send help even now. May love win out.” Morris Monye added, “Sorry, man. I used to vent too, but I’m keeping it in now. God’s got us.” Femi Adebayo chimed in, “Debo, thanks for sharing. Your good heart pulled you through, bro.”

Kehinde Bankole praised his honesty: “This is real accountability. Sorry for what you faced—everyone’s got something. May healing keep lifting you and us all.” Hypeman @do2dtun noted, “Being open like this is strength—it breaks anything messing with your peace. You’ve leveled up.” Others like Theonlychigul (“We love you, Debo”), Ejike Asiegbu (“God’s got you, son”), and Broda Shaggi (“Life tests us all—keep getting back up”) showed love too. Aproko Doctor said, “You’re in my prayers, bro,” while @iambisola added, “God’s got you—the best is coming.”

Fans felt it too. Olabimpe Ajetunmobi wrote, “Your win inspires me to keep going, even when it’s tough.” @Og_koded94 shared, “Bless you for this. I’m in the same boat—praying God restores us.” Stars like Nosa Rex, Kaffy, Chioma Nwosu, Adunni Ade, Officer Woos, Sharonm Ooja, and Enioluwa Adeoluwa also rallied behind him. Fans keep pouring out reactions, saying his story hit home big time.
