Mojisola Meranda has stepped down from her role as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, just seven weeks after assuming the leadership position.

She made her resignation public during Monday's plenary session, where lawmakers praised her effective leadership and her efforts in fostering peace within the assembly.

Additionally, her colleagues highlighted her strength and humility, noting her commitment to adhering to the rules and regulations of the All Progressives Congress.
