Former Manchester United star Lee Sharpe has reportedly advised Marcus Rashford to consider leaving if he's not fully behind manager Erik ten Hag.
Rashford, 25, caused a stir by skipping training the day after being spotted in a Belfast nightclub, fueling rumours of a tequila-fueled binge with an old teammate. Despite performing well in recent matches, including scoring against Wolves, Sharpe expressed concern that Rashford's actions suggest a lack of support for Ten Hag.
Speaking to Lucky Block via Goal, Sharpe questioned Rashford's commitment to the club and suggested any dissatisfaction with management or the club's direction could affect his performance. Sharpe emphasised the need for fully dedicated players to the team and the manager.
While acknowledging he doesn't know Rashford personally, Sharpe believes only Rashford knows the true state of his United career. Rashford has faced criticism for not matching his previous season's goal-scoring prowess, managing only five goals and six assists in 28 matches this season.
Despite United's current sixth-place standing and a four-match unbeaten streak, questions linger about Rashford's form and commitment. United is scheduled to face Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday, February 11th.
