A civil lawsuit accusing rappers Jay-Z and Diddy of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl at a New York party in 2000 has been voluntarily dismissed by the accuser.
According to court documents filed in federal court in New York on Friday, the case was dismissed “with prejudice,” meaning it cannot be refiled.
Reacting to the dismissal, Jay-Z described it as a victory against false accusations.
“Today is a victory. The frivolous, fictitious, and appalling allegations have been dismissed,” he said in a statement shared on Roc Nation’s social media page.
He also expressed the toll the case has taken on his family, stating, “The trauma my wife, my children, and my loved ones have endured can never be dismissed.”
