In a bid to uphold environmental regulations, agents of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps have uncovered and seized a significant quantity of prohibited styrofoam products at Ojuwoye Market in Mushin. This development was disclosed in a statement by the Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, on X.com on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the confiscated styrofoam items have been transported to the KAI office in Oshodi for proper disposal through incineration.
The statement highlighted, “Acting on intelligence, operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) discovered a styrofoam warehouse at Ojuwoye Market in Mushin. The owner had brought in the banned styrofoam early today. The products have been seized and transferred to the KAI office in Oshodi for incineration."
It further emphasized the Lagos State government’s dedication to ensuring a healthier, cleaner, and safer environment for all residents.
