The state police command has urged residents to desist from mob attacks after its officers rescued a man from being lynched.
Spokesperson of the state police command, Benjamin Hundeyin, said this while confirming the arrest of a suspected terrorist, Sanni Gafar, in the Ijora Badia area of the state.
Hundeyin, said Gafar, who was alleged to have dressed as a woman, was arrested after an angry mob attacked him on the suspicion that he was a terrorist.
He said the man who wore a hijab and claimed he was an electrician.
He was found with a bag containing hammers, screwdrivers, one pair of pliers, chisel, spanners and a plastic box of clips among others.
While speaking on our political programme, All out Politics, on the incident and other security breaches in the state, especially the ban on commercial motorcycle (Okada), Hundeyin said the ban on Okada has been largely effective.
