Starting Monday February 19, the Lagos State Government will implement the complete prohibition of Styrofoam food containers throughout the state.

Commissioner Tokunbo Wahab announced this during a meeting with market leaders at BlueRoof in Alausa, Ikeja. Enforcement teams, including LAGESC/KAI, Environmental Health Officials, LAWMA Police, and the Ministry, will seize Styrofoams from shops, stores, or outlets.

Commissioner Wahab urged traders to refrain from selling on railway lines, maintain cleanliness in markets, segregate waste, bag it properly, and support PSP operators.
