The death toll from the killings perpetuated by suspected bandits in some communities in southern Kaduna has risen to 51 following the recovery of three more corpses.
Between Sunday and Monday, no fewer than 48 people were killed by bandits in Zango Kataf and Kaura local government areas of Kaduna State within 24 hours of unrestricted bloody violence.
Groups, comprising the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the Middle Belt Forum and civil rights organisations, described the silence of the Northern Governor's Forum on the killings in Kaduna State as insensitive.
