September 2, 2019 Iwobi scores second goal in Everton’s triumph

Goals from Nigerian Alex Iwobi and Brazil’s Andrade Richarlison saw Everton triumph 3-2 over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.

Iwobi netted his first Everton Premier League goal after converting Gylfi Sigurdsson’s cross with a header.

The 23-year-old’s goal put Marco Silva’s men ahead 2-1 in the 12th minute.

Iwobi scored his first goal for Everton in Wednesday’s League Cup outing against Lincoln City.

Both of Iwobi’s goals for Everton this season have come via headers; one more than during his time at Arsenal, where just one of his 15 goals for the Gunners were headers.

Richarlison opened score for the hosts at Goodison Park in the fifth minute but the lead was cancelled out by Moroccan Romain Saiss four minutes later. Richarlison added another in the 80th minute to ensure a 3-2 win for the hosts.
