The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that fresh polls will be conducted in 59 polling units in the Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The total number of registered voters in the affected polling units was put at 15,136, insignificant to the about 200,000 votes gathered by the APC candidate, Ododo, ahead of his closest rival, Ajaka.

According to the Commission, the fresh election will be held next Saturday, November 18, 2023.

This was announced in a statement by the INEC National Commissioner, Mohammed Haruna.

The electoral body said it received an update from Kogi regarding suspending elections in some locations where result sheets were completed before voting.
