Renowned Nigerian skit creator and content producer Oderhwo Joseph Efe, popularly known as Carter Efe, has sounded the alarm about a potential blackmail scheme involving a private video of him.

Efe revealed that an individual possesses this private footage and is using it to threaten him with public exposure. To preempt this, the 'Machala' sensation made the situation known to the public.

Cater Efe stated to his official channel, "I am here to announce that I am being blackmailed publicly. And that my sex tape will be released soon. I am just here to let everyone know before it’s out."

This incident highlights an alarming trend of private videos of Nigerian celebrities being illicitly circulated online. Notably, Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal recently fell victim to such an incident. She clarified that the bedroom video was recorded with her estranged fiancé and released without her consent, prompting her to consider legal action.
